Building the Bond
In many countries worldwide, baby massage is a family tradition passed down through the generations. The art of massage enhances the baby's sensory awareness of the parent, and is a loving way for parents to get to know their baby

R esearch has found that touch is one of the first senses to develop in newborns, and just a few minutes of daily massage stimulates:
  > Socially
> Physically
> Neurologically
> Emotionally
> Psychologically

These sensory awareness's provide a foundation for much of their early learning and development. Studies show massage aids development of healthy newborns, and is also an excellent tool in treating Post-Natal Depression (PND), special needs and premature babies too. Massaged babies generally sleep more soundly, and suffer less anxiety.

Birth of a Family Tradition
Baby Massage suits new parents of babies up to crawling stage, and courses run individually or in regular small groups. Parents are guided and encouraged to gain confidence and experience in completing an effective and beneficial massage with their baby.

Massage is taught in stages by a certified instructor, in a warm and homely environment. Strokes are demonstrated on a doll initially, before the parent repeats the process on their child. There's just enough time after the class for a cup of hot chai and a chat!
